Meet Dr. Gobba
Dr Gobba is currently an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology in Cairo University. He’s also a pelvic trauma and joint replacement consultant in multiple hospitals in the governmental and private sectors.
His current areas of expertise include;

Pelvic and Acetabular Fractures surgeries

He’s got his initial training in Cairo University Hospital (Kasr al Ainy) from 2004 to 2012 working as an intern, resident and assistant lecturer covering various fields in Orthopedic Surgery. During that time, he completed his Masters degree and Doctorate degree in Orthopaedics and Trauma and successfully finished all the steps of the United States Medical License Examination.
From 2010 to 2014, he received his foreign training exclusively in the United states of America working in several top-ranked orthopaedic institutions including Houston Methodist Hospital, Cleveland clinic and University of Minnesota.

He’s been active in Orthopaedic Surgery research generally, pelvic trauma and joint replacement research specifically. He’s supervised and currently supervising multiple masters and doctorate theses. He has published a lot of articles as well as a book chapter in the same field.
Dr Gobba is also a member of several professional organizations and societies including; the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, AO Organization and Egyptian Pelvis and Hip Society.
During his overseas training, his main domain was; hip and knee replacement surgeries in which he completed a one-year fellowship in Houston Methodist Hospital, as well as Pelvis and Acetabulum Trauma surgeries in which he performed multiple rotations in various specialized centers including Saint Johns hip center with Dr Joel Matta.
